Wednesday's Yarn Along

Today I'm sharing with Ginny at her "Small Things" blog;
come join me and share what you are reading and knitting in "Yarn Along".

     I'm knitting away on my Ecology Hat for the March for Science, April 22nd, on Earth Day in Washington, D.C. and also around the world in many cities.  It'll be the 47th anniversary of the first Earth Day in 1970, and I remember that one!

     I'm doing my Ecology Hat in Preciosa Tonal Worsted from Knit Picks in Bonsai.  I'm encouraging others to stick with a unified color scheme of green for this march.  Mix it with blues and you'll have an effect that looks like the world.  Check out my last Friday blog for inspiration and yarn talk for knitting lighter for warm weather, 29 patterns, many free included.  Friday Ideas for March for Science Hats! and a few more patterns here: Tuesday's Knitting Away - Knitting For The March for Science

     I'm still reading Deep Dish: A Novel Kindle Edition by Mary Kay Andrews.   A great yummy read about two chefs who hate each other and are in competition for one opening in a top Cooking channel.  Two southern chefs, one's healthy southern, the other hunt and cook it style.  A case of opposites attracting.  It's very funny and the food fight is on!  I worked cooking classes and with chefs for 8 years, it really brings back memories.

     I've spent too much time on the internet this week, and on the news and I'm on the same book.   Bad sign. I need to read and knit to relax, so I'll try and fix that this coming week.  I can prop up my tablet on end on a pillow and especially with this easy knit, knit and read. That's it period.  Got to, I want to knit plenty of hats.  Hoping to kill it with a hat every three days!  We'll see, I'm a bit of a slow poke, but if I could just focus!  Check out yesterday's post to find out why I want to knit so many hats and who I'm going to give them to... Tuesday's Knitting Away and Knitting My Ecology Hat.

  1. I love both the hat and the yarn! Perfect colorway for the Earth Day march. I picked up that book when I read about it last week, I haven't started it yet, I have a couple of library loans to finish first.
