Thursday's Last Day of June Re-post of Friday Fantasy Knits in Blue

I'm gone on vacation and I'm sharing some of my favorite posts that haven't been viewed a lot.  I love to dream of what I could be knitting...

Friday Fantasy Knits- I Dream in Blue

This Friday, of all Fridays, I just want to look at my favorite color- blue.  My Mom's favorite color too.

It's been less than a week since my Mom passed away and I'm doing better- seeing more sunshine through the clouds.  Of course only metaphorically since it's actually snowing outside and all is white- it is Spring right?  Yup this is Spring in the Rocky Mountains!  So I'm posting happy pictures of possible knits and dreaming in blue.....

and using size US 19 & US 50 needles

I'm just sing'n the Blues a bit.

Enjoy!

Wednesday's Yarn Along

Here's my TGV Shawl in progress.  I'm finally working on the flange of 2x2, knit and purl rib.  I'm so excited, this yarn is so fun and I know it'll look pretty.  It surprises you with its changes of color and then goes thick and stubby, and then thin.  Never boring and looking so handsome.

My book is also interesting, Wild Stories: The Best of Men's Journal- 2003 and I've encountered stories that have taken me from the Swiss Alps, to the Alaskan Yukon, to the Sahara, to Everest, the Louisiana Bayou and also Patagonia.  From freezing temperatures, to dry desert sun.  Fun, riveting adventures.

Please come share for Wednesday's Yarn Along the book that you are reading and what you are knitting on with a picture and link to your blog at "Small Things".

Re-post of Friday Fantasy Knits in Purple Splendor

I'm off on a two week vacation and I decided to re-post some of my favorite posts.  I love Friday Fantasy Knits because I get so personally inspired!  Enjoy looking and dreaming.

Friday Fantasy Knits in Purple Splendor

I love purple, the depth of color, the color of grapes.  A color I often overlook because I'm crazy in love with blue, and yet when I really look at the color purple I realize it's depth and beauty.  I especially love yarns in variegated or hand dyed yarn with different tones of purple throughout.

(Yarns pictured are inspiration for you, but not what was originally used in patterns pictured.)

TGV (High Speed Knitting) in purple.

I once served a customer where I used to work at Chefs Retail store who was wearing Line Break in a stunning purple.  She had just finished it, and she unrolled it from her neck and I was in awe of it.  I kept repeating the name all day so I could find it after my shift on Ravelry.  It's been in my Pinterest for years and definitely on my "To Do' list.

Done in-

Hope you enjoy your purple knitting fantasies and make some come true!
