Wednesday's Yarn Along

Today I'm sharing with Ginny at her "Small Things" blog;
come join me and share what you are reading and knitting in "Yarn Along".

     I'm knitting three different projects (Tuesday's Knitting Away), but my favorite right now is the new hat I started: Don't Mind the Gap .  It's going up fast, it's looking beautiful and the knit itself is a fun repeat of ridges that seem to cross over.  I've done cables before, but this is a new stitch for me.  I just love how the repeat of 2 slipped stitches and knitting some stitches creates such an interesting pattern.  The yarn is Swish DK Yarn  in Cobblestone Heather from KnitPicks.

My books I've been reading lately -

     I just finished the second book in the Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers series, they're great!  Ingrid is a FBI agent stationed in England and gets assigned tasks from the local embassy.  Often dealing with young adults, but not always.  Her methods of solving the cases are becoming more creative as the series goes on.  The first is on Amazon: Run Girl (Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers Book 1) Kindle Edition (free), and the second is Fresh Doubt: (Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers Book 2), which is described as a "A psychological thriller with a strong female investigator ".  I liked the first book more, but I love the FBI agent Ingrid Skyberg and while the story lagged a little in the middle of the second, I got over the hump and enjoyed it till the end.  Now, I'm on to a collection of three short stories that fall between book #2 and #3 and then later in the series, (there's a list of what order to read them in the beginning).  The collection is free - Skyberg Files: Three Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers Short Stories.  You can also get them at the end of her books for signing up for the author's e-mail updates. So I'm onto a couple of those short stories that fall after the second book.

Happy Knitting this Week!
