Tuesday's Knitting Away

Joining "Frontier Dreams" today and sharing my creations.

With Thanksgiving just days away I'm starting my pie baking and prepping for my Sweet Potato and Butternut squash dish.  Usually I mash them together with maple syrup and butter, but talking to my daughter this morning, who called to get pointers on family Thanksgiving recipes, I decided to change it a bit.  She lives with my brother's family back East and he makes a similar dish but with pear puree.  So I'm going to fool around with that and brown sugar this year and see what the result is.

My Elise's Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief is almost done and I'm on just the last rows.  Still I'm not sure how far the yarn will go.  I did rip out a few rows and opted to put in the last eyelet row and I figured I'll just knit till it's almost gone after that.

Join "Frontier Dreams" to post your  projects on Tuesday or later in the week.

Nicole says: "The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link" on her blog, link above.

Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Thank you! It is beautiful with Malabrigo yarn. I haven't used fancy yarn much, going to local craft stores for cheaper blends, so I feel like it's extra special to use the good stuff!
