THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Name a book that you hope to re-read some day.
PLEASE add your book comments at Books and a Beat, Thanks!

- I can’t wait to get a copy of…
I'm re-reading  Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and then the rest of the series, so I can read her relatively new 8th book- Written in My Own Heart's Blood: A Novel (Outlander) .  Of course I've planned this since before it was to come out and now it's been a few years.  But with the help of Audible I'm getting through leaps and bounds, and getting lots of knitting done!  It's fun to listen to the recording with the accents, and then delve into the book and read at points.  It will always be my favorite.

So I should be onto Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, Book 2) soon.  The upside to waiting so long is I can now buy the paperback, which is easier on my hands.  I actually own Outlander, 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition with it's beautiful ribbon place marker, but paperbacks are easier to hold.  I did read Outlander when it first came out and I did have that ancient copy for years, but it most of been cleaned out at some move.  I wonder if I can find it again at a second hand shop?

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION:
Name a book that you hope to re-read some day.
I think the above also answers this question.  I like the momentum that builds up in the series and how it ended at a cliffhanger in An Echo in the Bone: A Novel (Outlander, Book 7) and I want to get back there, totally immersed in Diana Gabaldon's world and then read the eighth book- Written in My Own Heart's Blood: A Novel (Outlander) .

My daughter Elisabeth with Diana Gabaldon at a lecture at Oxford last year-
Somewhere there is a DG book autographed for Elisabeth & Elise.
