Tuesday's - What's Up in My Knitting World

Joining "Frontier Dreams" today and sharing my creations.

I'm pleased I got started on my first Christmas hat, I'm trying to give everyone in the family and my son's girlfriend's family (who I stayed with in Maine) a hat picked out by them.  So I've started the Bankhead in black Simply Saturday - Christmas Hats! and loving the results.  I need to get my hands on it more but I get sidetracked with my Fall colored shawl.

I'm knitting on my Elise's Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief  in tandem, and it's looking lovely done up in Malabrigo Arroyo Yarn in Marte.  It's 335 yards of DK wool yarn and more yarn than the pattern calls for (230 yds. - 240), so it should make a slightly larger shawl.

Join "Frontier Dreams" to post your  projects on Tuesday or later in the week.

Nicole says: "The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link" on her blog, link above.

  1. Oh that shawl is the perfect colours for autumn - isn't it stunning (and very snuggly!)

    1. I'm really pleased with the color and I'm only halfway through the yarn, so it should be a good size and snuggly.

  2. Love the colours in the yarn you're using for your shawl, very autumnal. Bet it will be wonderfully cozy when it's finished
