THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: What is the best book you read LAST year?
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT or link to your blog at Books and a Beat.

To answer two of the above prompts I'm currently reading Submerged (Alaskan Courage Book #1) by Dani Pettrey and because it's a grabber I have got caught up in the story, which is a good thing, but.....

But I wish I could be reading my Outlander.

I'll just have to work on that this week.

My favorite read this past year is was the Fox and O'Hare series and The Job (Fox and O'Hare Series, Book 3) was one of the best.  They are a light fun read and a fairly quick paced adventure with a con artist and a FBI agent working together and a few sparks fly and seem to be flying more as the series progresses.  The newest book of the series comes out next month June 21st- The Pursuit: A Fox and O'Hare Novel.

"Nicolas Fox, international con man, thief, and one of the top ten fugitives on the FBI’s most-wanted list, has been kidnapped from a beachfront retreat in Hawaii. What the kidnapper doesn’t know is that Nick Fox has been secretly working for the FBI. It isn’t long before Nick’s covert partner, Special Agent Kate O’Hare, is in hot pursuit of the crook who stole her con man..." continued The Pursuit.

Submerged  is about an island that was naturally sunk by an earthquake a long time ago, no one knew about it pretty much.  But an ancestor of someone who died on the islands starts researching the lost island and it's lost Russian artifacts in a church submerged.  People are murdered and treasure is sought out by someone, but at this point I don't know who.  Romance is served up on the side.  Christian themed so it's squeaky clean and a good read.
